Positive evidence for the use of triangulation \(specifically data triangulation\) in social research is presented. A common misunderstanding about triangulation – that different data sources or inquiry approaches should yield the same result – is demonstrated. Triangulation research can serve two purposes\: \(1\) to corroborate findings and more importantly, \(2\) to gain a holistic view of the phenomenon under study.
